| 2009 Buckskin 31/32 Arabian Stallion |
"Bucky", as my children affectionately insist on calling him, is the next step in our dilute Arabian breeding program.
I was heartbroken last year when we lost his sire to an unfortunate accident and between that and the failing economy was
just ready to throw in the towel. I offered up this lovely colt for sale and had several interested buyers when he injured
his right eye. Misfortune seemed to linger as it seemed as if Bucky would lose his sight- he still may though we are
treating him and hoping that he will recover at least some sight. Still I didin't feel comfortable offering him for sale with
this kind of injury so we removed him from the Sales list. The more I worked with this wonderful little colt I realized
that he was something very special. He is becoming the spitting image of his sire- only better. He has an outstanding
disposition (a trait that is very strong in this bloodline) and tolerates a lot- even when the handling causes him significant
discomfort. He is absolutely gorgeous and looks like he will be fairly tall like his sire, Elaan. Bucky's dam is TOF Khedance-
a direct daughter of Khemosabi! His sire line goes back to our foundation stallion Sophira's Amir and our palomino 7/8 Arabian
The Golden Rocket- who is the beginning of my Dilute Arabian program. So I have decided to keep Bucky and continue on breeding
quality palomino, buckskin, cremello and perlino high percentage Part Arabians. Keep watching here as Bucky grows up and takes
his rightful place as the "heir apparent". If he grows into the stallion we expect him to, he will be offered at stud 2012.

| Still a very gangly yearling but showing his potential. |
