Stallions

mytwoblackstallions.jpg
My two black stallion...Looks almost like a mirror image!

Due to the lack of interest and the difficult economy I have spent the last couple of years contemplating quitting breeding Arabians altogether. However, this years outstanding (best we have had in years) foal crop and the addition of some high quality breeding stock has made me rethink that decision and continue on. Our palomino part-bred program is growing by leaps and bounds and we are looking forward to great things. In addition we are moving more and more in the direction of "doing" horses and our stallion roster will soon reflect this. Stay tuned for some very exciting news from the Breeding Barn!!!!

And check out Avalon, a gorgeous chestnut Abidon son that we bought specifically as a reining horse. Currently in training which will hopefully lead to a promising show career. Avalon will be available on a limited basis at Stud in 2012.

Kuhailan Artex- 1991 Black Stallion

This beautiful stallion has everything the discriminating breeder could want. Type, conformation, balance, movement and disposition- with the added bonus of color! "Kia" has spent the last decade quietly grazing in a secluded little corner in the mid west until we had the good fortune to find him. Although older bloodlines, he is extremely well bred being sired by Proud Silver- an outstanding Tornado son imported by Howard Kale from Canada and out of a top notch producing Pistollero daughter. Although he has had limited showing (never out of the blue in halter) and only a handful of foals he has consistently sired outstanding athletic as well as typey individuals who excel in the showring. This stallion is truly a new found treasure! We look forward to the future with unbridled anticpation!

This gorgeous colt will spend the next couple of years training and showing as a reiner before retuning home to take up stud duties. Abidon has been a very succesful sire in both reining and cutting despite the surprisingly low number of progeny he has sired and that have shown, Avalon is one of his youngest out there. He will be a tremendous asset to our Palomino partbred program- adding another level of athleticism  and bloodlines to our already well rounded breeding program. Hopefully, we will also have some sons and daughters that excel at reining and cutting as well! Stay tuned for updates!

ASA Ebony Pharoah

1995 Homozygous Black Arab stallion

He's back! Probably one of my biggest regrets was letting this magnificent stallion go, but now he has returned and he will live out his days with me. Athletic, personable, gentle, trainable are all words that describe this old style Arabian stallion. He may be sixteen but has many good years left. Look for him to make a splash in Versatality events, Competitive Trail and maybe even some Cowboy challenges! A re-visit to the showring isn't out of the question either...visit his page by clicking on his photo for more info!
**UPDATE* Pharoah has been gelded, due to the fact that with the economy and our breeding focus (homozygous blacks don't produce palomino) it just didn't make sense to have three stallions. We will continue to ride and compete Pharoah and he will most likely live out his days right here where he grew up. His last foal is due in August 2012 and may be for sale.**

Stallion Prospects- This is where we list our future prospects for the stallion roster. Check back to watch them grow and see if they make it!

Psandstormm

(Elaan-TOF Khedance by Khemosabi)

Here he is! The next step in our dilute Arabian breeding program and the only lookalike son of our former buckskin breeding stallion whom we lost last year to a tragic accident. Psandstormm is growing into a magnificent young horse and we are really looking forward to seeing how he matures. Out of a Khemosabi daughter along with a direct sire line to our Foundation stallion, Sophira's Amir and the Palomino who started it all seventeen years ago- The Golden Rocket.  Visit his page by clicking on his photo.
